Kraus and Bird form Sales Alliance; Bird Acquires Kraus’
Southeast USA Distribution Division

William M. Bird and Company Inc. And Kraus Inc. have formed a
strategic alliance that has Bird acquiring Kraus’ Greenville-based
wholesale flooring distribution operations and Bird taking over Kraus’
sales force in other parts of the Southeastern USA.

“The Bird and Kraus teams are really excited about working together. Kraus’
sales team calling on customers in Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, North
Carolina and South Carolina will become a specialized unit within William M. Bird.
As in the past, that team will continue to represent leading flooring brands like
Armstrong Hardwood, Tarkett and Interceramic, along with the Kraus Carpet
and laminate collections,” commented Bird CEO, Maybank Hagood.
